Glamour Release Party!

Hey all! Are you ready to party? Well, get ready to hit Mario (dodence_bt)'s guestbook and witness the release of the very first issue of Glamour magazine. I wrote a couple of articles so I will definately be there! Will you be joining me? Oh, and I adore the theme - the 80's!!!!!!

Unfortunate Exits and New Arrivals.

First of all, I want to say goodbye to Springate who recently left the blog and Stardoll. I'm sure so many people will really miss him as he was a huge part of the vibrant social circle on Stardoll and helped make this blog what it is today.

On a more positive note, however, I have decided to open my own fashion blog to display my clothes designs. If you want to visit it click here --> http://www.gabriellesdesigns.blogspot.com/ . I hope you visit, comment and maybe even follow :)

Springate: Has left the building.

I am leaving stardoll, and leaving this blog all together, for reasons that I do not want to share. They involve my wreck of a personal life. I am soooo sorry.

Lovinitlovinit, and Danpuffs will be sharing my account. I will keep on publishing at:

Like I said, I am so sorry, and I will miss you dearly! :(

Are You A Barbie Girl?

-
In A Barbie World? If so, then you are very much in luck. And if you're like me and you are completely head-over-heels in love with your new Barbie Dream gown, then you're also very much in luck. Both could be your lucky chance to be featured on an uber-spectacular blog... well this blog.
.
-
If you think that you have the making of a Barbie, then listen up! Your challenge is to create a Barbie inspired look from one of the many classic looks our plastic Queen has donned over the years with your Stardoll. When you're done, sign my guestbook and if you're good enough you'll be featured on the blog! Good luck, and remember...

Less Stardollars for the Same S**t Price!

-
I got a message from Stardoll informing me of changes to the UK price of Stardollars. Yes, we may get a few more Stardollars on a higher price monthly membership, but there is also the part (above) which makes it sound like we are getting a great deal, but in what way is "17 less Stardollars for the same low price!" good??? This just means I will be "topping up" less, so they can say bye bye to some of my business, and probably many others too. Surely if they gave more Stardollars for £1.50 more people would buy! After all, it is virtual money, its not like it is an finite source.

Maybe they want us to feel the credit crunch.

The Best of Limited Edition

-
-
Before you virtually attack me with your umbrellas (very Britney-esque cerca 2007), let me just say that I'm quite sorry for taking so long on publishing these outfits. About two weeks ago, I asked to see what my readers would do with their ridiculously overpriced pieces from the February Edition of LE. Here are most of the entries:
-
.
Above: Pink-Penguin3, Naween, fakeshake3
-
Below: Barbarita17, Rosie333, LaLaLoooLa
--
Again, I'm sorry for the delay and I'm also sorry for some of the people who entered but due to my laziness were not featured because of the fact that I had not gotten to their pages in time to see them in their fabulous Limited Edition outfits!
-

New Design

.
I made a simple stripey dress based on a Dorothy Perkin's top, taking on your suggestions from my last design! If enough people like my clothes I might even open a blog to showcase them.
Let me know what you think!

Poll Results!

-
Heartthrob Edition
-
When I asked you which one of these hunkalicious heartthrobs you would choose to be your perfect Valentine, I had the feeling that I would not be suprised by your choice. Robert Pattinson a.k.a. Edward Cullen a.k.a. the vampire that every girls wants to be bitten by, topped our poll with with almost half of the votes. Zac Efron and Chase Crawford tied for second, but let's face it - Zac is so much hotter! My personal favorite bad-boy, Mr. Chuck Bass himself - Ed Westwick came in fourth.
-
Robert Pattinson - 44%
-
Zac Efron - 20%
-
Chase Crawford - 20%
-
Ed Westwick - 16%

March Hotbuys

The March Hotbuys picture has been released into Stardoll Magzine! Here are my opinions on the clothes :)

1. Blue Shoes - I do love converse in real life but when it comes to stardoll, I don't wear them often and loads have already been released. I guess they are mildly attractive but are they hotbuys material?

2.Denim Dress - I guess it is pretty but I am not keen on denim at the moment - I'm in a more glamourous phase. I think I might have worn this in winter with black tights though.

3. Skirt - I'm in love! Its a little bit harlequin and so pretty! I have been waiting for this skirt to be released since I first set eyes on it, and on 9th march I can finally get it! I just hope it is not overpriced!

4. Trousers - I'm not sure, maybe if they were less shiny they would look amazing. I think they almost look glittery which is lovely - I am so addicted to glitter!

5. Jumpsuit - Can't wait!!!!! It is so pretty and bang on trend, especially with that cute belt!

6. Bag - Just not my thing but I think a lot of people might like it.

7. Bracelet - I think it is adorable, and a little bit cheeky. I think I saw this bracelet on the catwalks recently. If you know which designer tell me!

8. Body-con dress - I love body-con and this dress is so chic. I think it could be worn casually, or with the right accessories, formally too.

9. Denim jacket - I still am not keen on denim, but I don't think I would have ever worn it, its just a bit yuck.

10. Earings - Chavtastic.

Are you ready...?

OK, so maybe my title is a tad dramatic, I have some spoilers for you all though! A lot of people have told me they love spoilers so here are plenty! I think these will be released very soon! Enjoy... I'll even give you my thoughts on them!

I usually adore big long black dresses and i think the glittery red on the neck is really cool too, but there is something about that neckline shape I don't love... And I feel I have seen that shape on another dress too, but can't remember which one.

I think the candyfloss colour of this skirt is so cute and I really like jewelled belt and neck on the top! I think there is something so classy about this outfit yet it could still be worn as a top casual outfit in the right hands. I think this is one outfit I will be wearing!
I heart the cheeky lips on this tee, but cannot help but feel green is the wrong colour, maybe black would have been better? I think the bag is quite sweet but am not mad about the jeans - I have enough already.
Agree?
Disagree?

Barbie: Putting the Cute in Couture for 50 years!

Barbie: Putting the Cute in Couture for 50 years!
By Anthony Springate

From her humble beginnings as a "Fashion Doll" created by Ruth Handler, in a striped bathingsuit and top-knot pony tale, Barbie has been every little girl's idea of a roll-model. Barbie was inspired by the Bild Lilli doll from Germany, since 1959 Barbie has been the glamour goddess atop of the whole doll market. With designers working for them like Bob Mackey, Christian Dior, Versace, Giorgio Armani, and Oscar De La Renta, Barbie is the apitomy of fashion. From the little girl who doesn't have expensive clothes, to the little girl in D&G Junior, barbie has always been a roll-model. Then, that was the closest to a designer most children could get.

Through rough times and good, barbie has always gotten through. Arguable, one of the most collectable items in the world, Barbie is never out of fashion. Almost uniquely for a toy fashion doll, Barbie has become a cultural icon and has been given honors that are rare in the toy world. In 1974 a section of Times Square in New York City was renamed Barbie Boulevard for a week, while in 1985 the artist Andy Warhol created a painting of Barbie. The only down-side of Barbie, is that she "promotes" a bad self image to over-weight children. But, with every good idea comes imposters. Bratz. Right now, Bratz are banned from being sold ANY WHERE.

In celebration Mattel held a fashion show in honor of barbie, where 50 well known designers all made a life-size look for our plastic heroin! (shown below)

All in all, Barbie is here to stay, and is/was a great idea. We're glad that Barbie was invinted. She changed the whole girl world. (watch the barbie video at:

Trying Something New

Hey guys! I have always adored the clothes made by Mario and Olivia and I thought - why not go for it? So I tried my own! It is not great or anything but took me like 3 days.... Would love for some comments to help me improve them for next time! It is inspured by this Dior outfit, which i thought was super cute - especially the hat!!!

Marc Jacobs:

Diane Von Furstenburg:

And Yes... even Barbie:

Have You Seen This Girl?

I found this (slightly fuzzy) picture in Stardoll files and i assume she might be a competition winner??? If you know her or are her be sure to comment!
In other news, i have some more spoilers, in the form of a new interior and furniture, as below.

I am fairly sure these themes do not go together and surely a few overly sensitive people will take offense to the gun shaped lamp. But that is just Stardoll for you.

The Clothes That Time Forgot

-
Ten Hot Trends For Fall. Well, we are fast closing in on Spring and still most of these clothes have not been released. the Boho Deluxe, Velvet and Lace have all graced the store, but where are the beautiful heels, cute checkered dress and all the rest? Clearly Stardoll forgot all about these beauties and just progresed to re-release crap from last Winter.

You Know You've Made It When...

-
Stardoll asks you to blog for them. Selena (Model-Selena) is just the latest user to become one, alongside the likes of Mary (writemarycat - who is currently working on The Big Book of Fashion over on Stardoll Trendsetters) and the Stardoll-sensation singingmermaid.. First things first: Selena looks ferosh! Her banner is oozing with hotness!
-
-
Secondly, this 'club' is an exclusive one. From what I have heard, Stardoll actually asked these girls to be a part of the Magazine - so don't try asking the magical Callie just yet! And lastly, this job has some major downfalls. You thought these girls were targets for haters before? Well, it is nothing compared to the shiz they are putting up with now thanks to the millions of jealous, prepubescent, preteen bitches that log onto Stardoll everyday.

teenSTYLE released!!!

Just to update you from my earlier post, the February teenSTYLE issue has been released. In my opinion it is bigger and better than ever, with Keisha and Lou from Stardoll Fashion Forward gracing the cover. I was also featured in a party article along with Rhiann (Welsh_Witch) as we won a Style Magazine modelling competition a while back, was was quite exciting! I really loved the hairstyle Selena gave me!!!!

Take a look and share your opinions!

Spoilers and TeenStyle!

Hi bloggers! I guess to start off I should introduce myself. I'm Gabrielle, some of you may already know me as punkyfish2007 on Stardoll. I'm your newest blogger, ready to bring you the latest gossip and fashion news on Stardoll.

Anyhoo, back to my post... spoilers first!!!

I found these two Kate Hudson fronted Elle covers, although I am not sure what will be done with them. My best guess has to be gifts for our suites, as has been done with previous magazine covers. I am a huge Kate Hudson fan so I hope it might have something to do with her.

There are some clothes too. First of all there is a necklace which looks like it is made of gold ball bearings, and a couple of fugly skirts which I suppose might be to some people's liking, but certainly not mine.

Apart from that, there really isn't much but I did scope some of this month's hotbuys there too, so they may also be due for release. I'm just not convinced by some of the ones which have already been released.

As for teenStyle, the february issue is being released tonight, and all are invited to the launch party. This one is will be 'Let Them Eat Cake' themed. The dress code should be inspired from that quote. The event starts at 6:00 PM GMT time (or 1 PM EST) in Style_Magazine's guestbook. I will be there as I can't wait for the new issue to be released! Hope to see you there!

Leave your comments as usual, I can't wait to hear them!

Over and out.

They Came. They Sold. They Conquered.

-
Almost like the famous Latin saying, this months edition of the Limited Edition came, sold, and conquered. Sure, it wasn't as high quality as the first release that sold a few months ago, but there is almost this LE-Fever that hits you when you see the pieces! From the lot, all I really wanted was the heart clutch, but I spent too much time debating about what I wanted and ended up with an adorable heart bikini and a truly hideous pink blouse (I honestly do not know what compelled me to purchase it).
-
-
So, what I want to do now, is see how you've used the February LE items in your wardrobe! When you're dressed up, sign my guestbook and you'll get a shoutout on the blog!

Poll Results!

-
CherryCherryBoomBoom
-
Lady GaGa, one of my current obsessions (and let me just point out that I had her music on my blog in JULY), has topped our weekly poll here on It's Stardoll Gossip, Bitch! The poll asked our readers who they thought would make a perfect Real Celeb for Stardoll, and (this stings just a bit) the current Dancing Queen Lady GaGa beat out the likes of Ms. Britney Spears, Tyra Banks, and Victoria 'Posh' Beckham!
-
Lady GaGa - 48%
-
Britney Spears - 20%
-
Tyra Banks - 18%
-
Victoria 'Posh' Beckham - 13%
-
-
P.S. Posh was included because I've become re-obsessed with the Spice Girls over the past week (it brang back a lot of great memories) so get used to them on the playlist!
-
P.S.S. Your number two choice is still my number one!

NEW: Limited Edition!

-
It's coming! Why that require an exclamation point, I do not know! Another release of this highly and ridiculously overpriced virtual brand (I should really put emphasis on the fact that this is all virtual) means that there will be another mad scramble to pick up just one piece - if any, another month-long exhibit of those pieces in the suite's of the members who were rich enough to get EVERY piece, and another couple of rants just like this all up and down the Stardoll blogosphere!
-
-
Let's get one thing straight about this latest edition of the ultra-rare brand: It's craptastic. This months release is equivalent to that horrible and misfortunate orange era of DKNY (from which, DKNY's virtual rep on Stardoll has still not fully recovered). While I admit that the first series was almost flawless, this one does not live up to expectations.
-
Oh well, I can already see myself in the Starplaza on the day they are released, frantically trying to buy EVERYTHING. I have problems.
