Back to Basics

A new brand has been released to Stardoll with harem pants, t-shirts, leggings, dresses, skirts, shoes, shorts and bags in every colour you can imagine. Except black. Personally I really like the white hareems and at only 4sd a pair I could afford to buy a few! All the clothes are non superstar and very affordable, which is great news for non paying members.

I do not think that I could truly and honestly put into words what Michael Jackson meant to me, but I can tell you that it was something more then words can describe. Some of my earliest and fondest memories involve the performer, the legend, and the man they call the King of Pop. The fact that this extraordinary man has passed has still not hit me in full, but I already cannot help but wonder why such an inspirational talent was taken much too soon.

Michael Jackson was one of the few performers in this world who had been to hell and back and still possess the rare ability to rise above the ashes, like a phoenix, and be able to inspire and move millions in this world. He will be greatly missed by those millions of fans, including me. I write this with a heavy-heart and tear-streaked cheeks, knowing that the ache that has manifested itself within my heart will remain as the world and I come to terms with this terrible loss.

Good Morning, Vivienne Tam!

The title of this post was my horrible attempt at a joke. This glorious morning brought something wonderful, though. No it was not a much-needed break from the endless heat, but instead a slice of virtual heaven. The Spring 2009 Collection of Vivienne Tam has been released to Stardoll after months of tedious waiting! Above and below are pictures of the actual looks (straight-off-the-runway I might add) that inspired the hot as ice pieces.

For those of you who do not recall the poll that was conducted eight months ago, Stardoll asked us lowly users which items we thought would be the most drop dead gorgeous on our medolls. It seems Stardoll has quite a selective memory because none of the top vote-getters were selected. To see those, click here. The great news is, however, that we're three seasons into the Vivienne Tam brand and we have yet to see a disaster as monumental as the horrific Spring 2008 DKNY collection, so maybe the Stardoll God (Callie?) is looking out for us!

For those of you who haven't yet noticed, Stardoll has released a series of beautiful, bouncy babydolls! I cannot wait for virtual nurseries, play dates, and birthday parties for our new infant counterparts!

July Hot Buys: Muy Caliente!

1. Top Shop Tiger Swimsuit (July 17) - A very Gaga-esque addition to the Hot Buys Collection. Also, it is perfect for that eclectic Summer look!

2. Top Shop Pink Hotpants (July 3) - I think these could look great, if worn the right way - but could look equally slutty in the wrong hands!

3. Top Shop 80's Dress (July 15) - I'm definitely loving the 80's vibe of this totally wearable piece. I'm also loving the sheer panel at the top and the pattern.

4. Faith Gold Platforms (July 30) - Quite fabulous, I guess. There is just something about them I don't like, although I can't quite put my finger on it.

5. Modcloth Record Necklace (July 7) - I probably won't wear this particular accessory, but I like how different it is from past Hot Buys jewelery.

6. H & M Zebra Jumpsuit (July 28) - I love me some H & M! I actually think 'Waking Up In Vegas' singer, Katy Perry wore it. I love love love it!

7. Jimmy Choo Clear Plastic Purse (July 21) - My initial opinion - yuck. Then the Jimmy Choo girl inside of me saw the light!

8. Top Shop Ankle Sandals (July 23) - These are plain, yet pretty. They're probably the weakest of the bunch.

9. Summer Sun Hat (July 1) - Perfect for wearing with my virtual bikini!

10. Ruffle Bikini (July 10) - This adorable ruffle bikini gets me in that Summer mood!

Those ultra-fab and colorfully ferocious Shutter Shades that were made famous by Mr. Ego himself, Kanye West, have finally been released in the Starplaza. The only problem with that is that the popularity and hotness factor of those shades peaked in 2007. If you need help trying to remember that far back, just think bald Britney.
